RF & Microwave Biomedical Technologies and Industries
RF/Microwave biomedical applications use radio frequency and microwave electromagnetic fields for various medical purposes. This can include imaging, monitoring, diagnosing, or treating diseases. They can also be used for therapeutic purposes, such as targeted heating to treat cancer cells or in non-invasive procedures to stimulate tissue healing. In essence, RF/microwave biomedical applications are about harnessing radio and microwaves energy to diagnose, treat, monitor health conditions as well as to improve health care and medical treatments. This MTT-S Inter-Society Technology Panel (ISTP) will discuss recent advancements in RF/microwave biomedical applications. This special panel will bring together industrial and academic experts of various background. In this panel, Dr. Warsito Purwo Taruno (C-Tech Labs), Dr. Daniel Kartawiguna (Siemens Healhineers), Dr. Yusuf Nur Wijayanto (BRIN), Prof. Kazuyuki Saito (Chiba University) and Prof. Amin Abbosh (The University of Queensland), will discuss and review state-of-the-art achievements in biomedical techniques. This panel will also debate the critical issues and the several key factors required to ensure safety, effectiveness, and reliability of biomedical field.

Meet The Editor
IEEE 2024 APMC Conference will host a panel for attendees to meet and discuss with the editors of journals published by the IEEE MTT-S Council. The panelists include Prof Robert Caverly (Editor in Chief, IEEE Microwave Magazine), Roberto Gómez García (Editor in Chief, IEEE Microwave and Wireless Technology Letters), Karu Esselle (Associate Editor, IEEE Transactions on Antennas & Propagation), and Shiban Koul (Editor in Chief, IETE Journal of Research). The interactive panel will help authors and potential authors understand how to publish in these journals. It will also be a great opportunity for attendees and young researchers to discuss challenges and opportunities in addition to guidance.
