Dr. Yusuf Nur Wijayanto is a distinguished figure in the field of electrical and optical technology, with a career spanning over 15 years dedicated to advancements in communication, sensing, imaging, and measurement applications. He currently holds the position of Research Professor and Director at the Research Center for Electronics under the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in Indonesia, a role he has been committed to since 2022.
He earned his Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Osaka University, where he also completed his Master’s degree. His foundational studies were conducted at the Institute Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and at Politeknik Negeri Semarang, where he obtained an Associate Expert degree in Electronic Engineering.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wijayanto has been an avid contributor to scientific knowledge, authoring and co-authoring over 100 papers published in various prestigious journals and conferences. His research interests primarily focus on microwave-photonics, antenna & propagation, electrical-optical conversion, opto-electronics, radio-over-fiber, and wireless technology.
Dr. Wijayanto’s excellence in research has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Satyalancana Pembangunan in 2022, The LIPI Exemplary Researcher Award in 2017, and several others throughout his career.
